Rise! Mosaic Mural

In collaboration with 13 other Inland Empire based artists, the Rise! Mural was created to promote diversity, inclusion, and equity while also celebrating Black excellence in the City of Riverside. The result is a magnificent mosaic depiction of thirty-plus African American portraits that have influenced the Black community throughout history. The Rise! mural includes portraits of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Elijah McCain, Ruby Bridges, Edison Kanatzar, Nelson Mandela, and many more. Cynthia Huerta created the images of Emmett Till, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Breonna Taylor.
